First time using Topology/Chloe and will definitely be returning to them for future help with rooms. Wasn't sure what to expect really. Chloe thought of a lot of things that we just didn't even think of doing (like where to put the dining room table) and the footstool.

The rooms is quite relaxing and cosy and warm now which was much needed because my partner and I have recently had a lot of health problems and we wanted someplace conducive to good health.

Chloe was quite patient with me too as I can be quite demanding and picky.

We kept 98% of what chloe chose for us which considering how picky we are is quite an accomplishment.

Things for improvement: At times it felt rushed which made the process a bit more stressful for us. It would have been helpful for a phone call or two for a more personable touch as ended up having to type out a lot trying to explain the direction we were going, what we needed, etc. Maybe they could add something into their initial forms for things to get to know clients better as I do think it helps with designing the room?

Athina has helped us turn a dated living room space into the hub of our house. We've been so impressed with her eye for detail, super-cool suggestions and design implementations right from the very start! She was able to incorporate a lot of our existing art and furniture perfectly, while also recommending great new additions! She also helped connect us with the right trades people to action the work to ensure the process ran like clockwork and the vision was realised! I used Topology to design our open plan living/dining room having attending one of their colour workshops a few years ago. We bought a flat in a converted church and whilst the architecture is beautiful, the height of the ceilings, arched windows and unique angles made the space super intimidating for us the design ourselves. We decided to go with the premium package for the additional options on layout and furniture selection knowing that the space would be difficult and we really needed it to be multi-functional. Amelie was absolutely AMAZING! She completely nailed the brief and stretched us out of our comfort zone to consider things we would never have on our own (we have a black wall!) . She offered varying layouts so that we could really see how the space could work for us and it was super exciting to see the room progress from concept through to design. We absolutely LOVE the final result… and the black wall is now our, as well as our neighbours, favourite feature. I have recommended Topology to all my friends and neighbours and will definitely use again in future. Thanks so much Amelie and the Topology team!

A friend recommended Topology for interior design help. I’m so pleased we decided to engage them to help us redo our living room in our new place, which went from having a cold feel, lacking character, to being a warm inviting space where we love spending time. Amelie was lovely and did a great job listening to our wishes and coming up with a great design concept making suitable recommendations. There was no time pressure and we took a long time finishing our project due to work commitments. Amelie also helped addressing questions long after we had finished the design stage, which was much appreciated. The trade discounts on furniture and paint offered by Topology more than offset the upfront fee. Very pleased.

I opted for the essentials package for a bedroom currently under construction. It is a total blank slate and I didn’t know how to start. I am detailing my experience here but TLDR summary at bottom..

Athina was my designer. There is a detailed questionnaire to fill out about the space and your style, and you send links to inspiration boards & pics of the room thru their client portal. There should have also been a kick off call, but she couldn't call me at the time we arranged, and it was never rescheduled. Everything was done over email & client portal, with a lot of reminders of the time limitation on the project (4 wks for essentials) and that I should reply quickly. I don't feel that urgency applied to replies to my emails.

First step is the layout, just a general placement of furniture, there is a feedback stage for any adjustments. Once layout is final, you get a moodboard of specific items and some general ideas, like paint or accent items, for the room. The essentials package gives you 3 revisions, but I only used one revision. I found giving feedback difficult over email, as I really wasn't sure what to say exactly, it was some basic furniture & lights. Nothing to object to but nothing to get too excited about either.

We did work on some ideas for a bespoke headboard. Going in, I had an idea but couldn't visualise how it would look or if it would work. It did help to have someone draw it out so I could see it.

The end result was ok, just a basic moodboard of what to buy with links to purchase exact key items with a few alternatives. Theye list specific paint suggestions as well as some generic decorating ideas. There are discount codes for some shops that you can use yourself and a few that you have to go through Topology to take advantage of the discount.
Again, this is all through the client portal which is very well laid out and easy to use.

My hope was, if this small project worked, to do the full works package for the open plan living/dining/kitchen area, but I don't think it's a good fit.

TL:DR...My experience seems to be the exception rather than the rule, so maybe my project was too small or my expectations were too high, but I thought the end result was just average, nothing groundbreaking or transforming. I didn't find the whole experience worthwhile. 2.5 stars

We enlisted Topology to do 6 rooms for us - 3 full onsite package rooms and 3 e-design rooms and we're so happy with the result.

Athina and the team have such great taste and made a lot of great decisions for us that we were probably too anxious to do ourselves. We also really felt like they took our budget really seriously and treated it as if the renovation was their own, and were also very happy with us keeping existing bits of furniture or interior features, and all of these points really differentiated them from some of the other interior designers we spoke to before deciding to choose them.

The tradespeople they arranged were by and large fantastic and the comfort of mind that they were trusted by Topology is one of the reasons we wanted to appoint an interior designer. Even if we had some snags and hiccups along the way, everything was fixed in the end without quibble which is what matters.

Really highly recommend Athina and team to anyone who's renovating their home.
