One of the most unique museums I’ve ever come across. I’ve been twice now and will be returning the next chance I get to keep exploring everything they have to offer. You can become a member to get unlimited access without reservations, and get a cool secret gift. The tea ceremony on the roof is amazing and all the exhibits are incredibly unique and creative. I love this place.

Luogo molto particolare.

Upon reserving online, upon arrival, I initially had difficulty locating the parking area and opted to park on the street. The museum presented a challenge in terms of comprehension due to my lack of prior research. The layout appeared somewhat random, yet spacious and well-maintained. Multiple visits may be necessary to fully grasp the diverse art and room themes, each offering unique discoveries and interactive experiences, such as a 3D room with provided glasses. The highlight of the visit was the tea room, where I spent approximately 15-25 minutes. The bird rooms were particularly impressive, featuring a small room and a temple room, with one accessible indoors and the other located outside.

This is one of the coolest, most unique activities in not just Los Angeles, but the world, the kind of place you walk out of and expect, upon turning around after exiting, to have disappeared. It is funny and fun as balls on a surface level, so yeah you'll love it even if you don't want to think about it, but if you do, there are multiple levels on which it can be appreciated, as an elucidation of unappreciated human expression, as a meta-examination of the nature of knowledge and the recording of knowledge, as an aesthetic exercise. However you want to appreciate this place - if you are EVER within an hour of the LA metropolitan area - seek it out. You will not be disappointed and may be changed forever.

Brought my friend here for his birthday and it was the best 2 1/2 hours of our Saturday. We were confused, entertained, befuddled, and in awe!!! When you arrive, you're told to keep your phone on silent and out of sight, do yourself the favor of just enjoying the experience and being present for however long you're there! Oh, and make reservations!

I am OBSESSED with this place. I can't believe I've lived in LA/OC my entire life and never heard of it. I'm telling everyone I know to go, and I'm planning on coming back again soon. What a gem.
If you like old Twilight Zone tv shows/Wes Anderson movies with a Dharma Initiative vibe, this place is for you.
Don't read anything else about it, just go.

This is a curious place kinda like Ripleys just different. There is NO cell phone use and they have you turn your phone off. And NO cameras either! There are some beautiful artwork created using butterfly ? scales and you view them under a microscope. There are other interesting things and artwork to see and ypur admission includes hot tea and cookies (gingersnaps). There is someone there playing an old instrument and you sit in a small garden with a fountain and birds (doves). Do make a reservation before going and there is public parking near there (across the street and behind Armand's). 😉
