I really wish that I could give them a good review today. But after about 2 1/2 years of fighting back-and-forth to get the issues from our kitchen remodel fixed, I have to leave unfortunately a very bad review.
Actually, fighting is the wrong word - after saying “oh, we will come look at the issues, oh, I’ll be in touch as soon as I’m back in town…” etc etc., and then NEVER getting a reply whatsoever with any intent to fix, I’d say the better word is: ignored. Either they installed our flooring wrong, or the plumbing wrong (leaking), but our floors failed only 6 months after install.
They DO NOT stand behind their product or their work. This was a lifetime guarantee flooring that the flooring company blamed them for installing wrong. Crickets and crickets.
DO NOT go with Elysium if you want a guarantee of their work.
These floors bowed extremely quickly and they will not even come look at it.

Working with Elysium was the best decision we made when wanting to renovate our bathrooms (2 at once!). From the start, we loved the owners, the Patels, for their kindness, consideration, professionalism, and flexibility. The design ideas were outstanding, and ones we never would have thought of on our own. The suggested fixtures, timing, and every step of the way was easy, including same day or next day communication.
We’ve had other work done in the past and experienced horror stories, so working with another set of strangers was scary. But this fear didn't last long once we met with the owners multiple times for planning then met the incredible crew that did the work. Trusting people in your home and in such private spaces is not easy, but it was with these guys. Joel, Pedro, Jamie, and Rodolfo were the absolute best in their field and the most respectful visitors to our home, from protecting furniture to cleaning up after themselves.
Whenever we look at the bathrooms, we smile and I know I’ll never forget the beautiful transformations and the people who made it happen. I can’t recommended Elysium enough. Top notch people and work.

Thank you, Pat and Dilari, for this major renovation in our master bathroom. There were a few bumps in the road, as with any large project. But Pat, Leo, Joel, and the team worked very hard and stayed in touch throughout. The finished product is stunning and we are thrilled!

I am so happy I went with Elysium Interiors for my kitchen remodel. I initially started off trying to find all vendors by myself but I quickly realized timing and planning all the contractors would be a lot of work, so I decided to go with Elysium to do my kitchen remodel. Everything worked out perfectly and now I have the white kitchen I always wanted.
I look forward to working with them in the future!

We recently undertook a whole home remodel with Elysium Interiors and it was one of the best experiences we have ever had as a family! We recently bought the home and needed to completely gut the inside, we knew it was a huge undertaking so wanted to make sure we signed with a professional and reliable design / construction team as it was a very involved project. We wanted to tear down walls to open up space, redo the kitchen and master bath/bedroom layouts as well as renovate all the bathrooms, install new flooring, new lighting fixtures and our favorite - a media room!
From the moment that we met with Pat and Dulari they were very professional, punctual and responsive. They guided us through the entire process and made it feel very attainable in a very tight time frame.
We really enjoyed seeing the designs that Dulari prepared for each of the different spaces that required new layouts. The most fun for me was actually hand picking each individual material / fixture for all of the spaces. We looked at only in stock materials and luckily every single thing was delivered on time to keep with our timeline including the appliances that we acquired from their supplier! I now have my dream master bath with a massive shower, gorgeous soak tub, beautiful lighting and spacious vanity!
All the work was completed on time within 3-3.5 months, and the home couldn’t be more perfect and more on point with our vision and style.
All their team members - Leo and crew - were very professional and respectful. They provided good solutions on the spot for certain elements that maybe didn’t work out as initially planned. Specifically our kids closet system. The new design was completed right away by them sourcing materials quickly and efficiently.
All of their other vendors were again very nice to work with and good at their trade.
We would highly recommend Elysium Interiors for your next home project! We’re looking forward to working with them again real soon on our outdoor kitchen!! 🙂

It has been over a year since Elysium did a complete remodel on our kitchen and we are very happy with the final product and are glad we decided to go with Elysium. The design work they did is outstanding and we love our new kitchen with extensive updates including moving the location of every appliance, sink, doorways and walls. They worked through so many updates during the process and communicated very well, even when we had to find new floor tile or couldn't get our quartz delivered (covid) . The final craftsmanship is great and a year later still looks and feels new. I can't recommend this team enough. Our money was well spent and went farther than any other quote we got.

If I could give a lower rating I wood (pun intended). We had Elysium install wood floors in our newly constructed home. Almost immediately, they started cupping and within 6 months several of the boards were cracking and the wood floors both upstairs and downstairs were cupped. Earlier this year, Elysium came to the house and said they would repair and replace the floors if necessary - basically stand behind their work.
February 28, 2023 quote from Elysium -"We of course will take care of your flooring concerns, that is not a question. I would be glad to come out on Tuesday and see myself as well as meet with you and the other company to determine cause and solutions to get the flooring concerns taken care of."
On 4/19/2023 - we received this from Elysium - "I am working on the schedule with the installers, two companies have given us the same findings. I’ve already contacted Reserve a few weeks ago, and the flooring is still available as well."
I received this in an email from them today 5/28/2023 - “Rick, I have gone ahead and put a pause on the wood flooring order for now, as we strongly feel are not responsible for the concerns you have regarding your flooring”.
As you can see from their own words, they believe the customer is at fault for Elysiums work. Elysium did not visit our home between 4/19 and 5/30, they just decided they weren't going to fix our floors.
Find another contractor - I will never work with them again.
8/20/2023 Update
Elysium has told us not to call them anymore and only talk with their lawyer. So we are now having to prepare a Breach of Contract lawsuit.
Since I posted the original critique, we have had two independent companies review the floor install work. Both assign 100% of the floor problems to installer error and 0% to site or manufacturer error and Elysium still won't take responsibility for their work.
Excerpts from the reports are below.
Report #1
"We found that the wood flooring was installed without proper spacing from the wall. Most cases it was tight to the wall.
We talked to the manufacturer and they said that the hickory flooring leaves the mill at 9% moisture. The wood is currently between 13 and 15%. The plywood below the hickory is 13 to 20%. The concrete is also above normal moisture content.
Our conclusions
Wood was not acclimated long enough inside the home before installation began.
Concrete was not properly sealed. All they used was some black plastic. This is not sufficient and not to manufacturers requirements.
Plywood was nailed to concrete instead of glued which would break the waterproofing barrier and is also not to spec.
Our opinion is that since the concrete was not sealed and the floor was stained and varnished and the fact that the floor was not acclimated properly the moisture was trapped below the floor. Therefore the plywood and the hickory floor took on moisturizer and expanded. Since the floor was installed tight to the wall it could only go up creating the buckling in the finished floor.
One other observance was that the installer did not use enough glue to attach floors. On wide plank solid hardwood you have to apply full cover glue. No bare spots. "
Report #2
Conclusions
Manufacturing Related Issues Observed:
No manufacturing defciencies were observed
Site Related Issues Observed:
No site-related issues were observed
Installation Related Issues Observed:
1) The Plywood subFoor is at a higher moisture level that NWFA recommendations. This can cause cupping in the installed plank.
2) Lack of expansion throughout the installation. From pictures provided by the consumer and contractor as well as measurements taken during the inspection show the recommended expansion was not kept causing the expansion of the floor to develop cupping.
3) Plank measurements show growth on both the first and second floor areas. The first floor grew an additional 1/4 inch most likely due to the moisture levels in the subfloor.
4) All concerns observed are installation related.

We are so happy that we chose Elysium interiors for our build out. Although their main focus is kitchen an bathroom they did a beautiful job on our front desk! They made the design and build out process easy, completed the work quickly, and were a pleasure to work with!
